How our donations are making a difference

We’re proud to have been sponsoring our charity partner Demelza since 2018, supporting the vital work they do to help children facing serious or life-limiting conditions, and their families.

Over the past 18 months, our community has continued to come together in a big way - and the results speak for themselves.

So far in 2025, we’ve already contributed £60,300 to Demelza. That includes £55,300 through our Children’s Savings Account contributions and an additional £5,000 donation to their Spring Appeal - which was generously matched by external charitable foundations, meaning this doubled to £10,000.

We’re proud to know that our involvement made a tangible contribution to the massive £181,661 total raised through the appeal.

Looking back

Looking back to 2024, our total financial support amounted to £69,177, raised through a combination of savings-linked donations and other fundraising efforts. This contribution is recognised publicly in our parent company OSB’s annual report, reflecting how committed our wider community is to helping causes that matter.

In total, from January 2024 to now, we’ve donated £129,477.

And it’s support like this that helps keeps Demelza going. As a charity that receives just 14% of its funding from the government, Demelza couldn't do what it does without continued support from partners like us.

What does this mean in practice?

Demelza has been able to support over 2,400 children and their family members over the past year. Here's just some of the ways that pounds translate into practical support:

• 570 daycare sessions
• 306 overnight short breaks
• 1,521 care-at-home visits
• 642 counselling sessions
• 724 music and art therapy sessions
• 33 events especially for siblings

These aren’t just services — they’re lifelines, connections, and precious moments of joy. And that’s what makes our partnership with Demelza so special. It’s not just the numbers and reports, it’s about the real impact on children’s lives. From fun events and memory-making experiences to emotional support and expert care, contributions have made all the difference.
