We’re thrilled to announce that we’ve been named as the Best Children’s Savings Provider and the Best Fixed Rate Savings Provider at the Moneynet Awards 2023.

Now in their 13th year, the Moneynet Awards recognise the very best providers and products in the industry from over the past 12 months. The awards are given to those who have adapted to the ever-changing market conditions and who have outperformed their peers, delivering excellent choice, value and innovative solutions for their customers.

We’re especially proud to receive the Best Children’s Savings Provider award for our Demelza Children’s Account. This year marks the fifth anniversary since we launched the account to support the work of Demelza Hospice Care for Children, a charity based in the south-east of England which provides care and treasured memories for children with severe and terminal illnesses, and their families.

Each year we make an annual donation to Demelza equivalent to 0.25% of the total average balances held in customers’ accounts.

As well as supporting Demelza financially, we also help the hospice in a number of different ways including volunteering at their popular Bubble Rush fundraising events, helping sort donations in their warehouse, sponsoring the annual Celebration of Christmas carol concert at Canterbury Cathedral, and installing donation stations in our offices and branches to collect donations from our colleagues to be sold in the Demelza shops.

Paul Whitlock, Group Managing Director, Savings, said: “We’re absolutely delighted that our efforts over the past year have been recognised at the Moneynet Awards.

We’re dedicated to providing our customers with the widest possible choice of accounts, so we’re especially pleased to be named as the Best Children’s Savings Provider for our Demelza Children’s Account. It’s a charity which is very close to our hearts and we’re extremely proud to have been able to contribute towards their absolutely vital work over the past five years.

A big thank you to everyone who voted for us and to all our customers who helped to make this possible.”
